Episode 2: Breastfeeding Techniques with Sandra Lobaina, LM, IBCLC, RLC

Today’s episode is the first of 2 episodes. We will be doing a phone interview with Sandra Lobaina or Sandy, a bilingual International Board Certified Lactation Consultant based in Florida. Sandy is a “superwoman” who is also a licensed midwife/ doula. She teaches breastfeeding and birthing classes, owns a home birth practice, and co-owns Natural Birthworks Birthing Cottage, a birthing center in Broward County in Florida. In this very interesting and informative episode, Sandy talks about her background and shares with us her struggles as a young mom and her journey into becoming a lactation specialist and a licensed midwife. She also discusses some breastfeeding positions, how to time feedings, and how to manage common issues with breastfeeding.
