This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Falklands War and our next three podcasts look at the 65 hour conversion of the SS Uganda into a hospital ship and the work carried out at HM Dockyard. The S.S. Uganda sailed from no. 2 dock at 9 a.m. on Monday 19th April 1982. A special plaque paying tribute to the dockyard workers involved in the task has been organised by the Gibraltar Heritage Trust and the Friends of Gibraltar Heritage.
