Episode 2 - Introduction (EN)
from L'art de faire éclore la vie - The art of blooming life · host Arnaud Billard
Welcome to The art of blooming life.Hello, I'm Arnaud Billard. I'm a senior executive in the medical device industry and I lead large, multicultural service organizations in Europe. My experience has led me to develop a growing conviction: the feelings of people—clients, patients, teams—directly influence outcomes. This has gradually led me to reflect more deeply on the well-being, care, and human experience that underpin services and healthcare.I'm currently exploring these dimensions through reading, learning, and dialogue, with a particular interest in how attention, listening, presence, and critical thinking contribute to greater well-being, especially in demanding professional environments. I'm also thinking about children at school and the elderly. More and more people seem to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, and lost, while everything is accelerating (why?) and their attention is fragmented. This podcast opens with a simple and radical idea: human beings are not machines to be optimized; they are living systems designed to grow, develop, and bloom. For decades, however, we have been taught the opposite. In this episode, I explain the purpose of this podcast and the topics we will cover, with input from specialists who will share their perspectives. How can human beings thrive sustainably within complex lives and organizations? This question is not new.- Philosophers have been asking it for centuries.- Therapists face it daily.- Psychology studies it scientifically.- Organizations are now forced to address it.This podcast lies at the intersection of these different fields.
