Episode 2: Jon Stickley

from The Travis Book Happy Hour · host Travis Book

I first met Jon Stickley in 2004 in North Carolina, two days before we were set to record with Andy Thorn (Leftover Salmon), Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass), and Robin Davis. The band was Broke Mountain and the rest is still unfolding, but needless to say that was a seminal point in all of our lives and careers. Jon is one of my best friends and favorite musicians and one of the reasons I moved to Western North Carolina. Playing with him is always a joy and that was the topic of conversation on The Happy Hour that evening in July of 2020.Featuring Jon Stickley (@jonstickleytrio)Brought to you by Americana Vibes (@americana.vibes)2:53 Rise Sun 5:28 Intro for Stickley 6:40 Jon Interview 17:42 Won’t You Come and Sing for Me 19:32 Mildrelphia 27:15 Blackburn Brothers 32:28 Comin’ Down 35:45 Far I’d Fall 39:44 Places I’ve BeenFollow us!Travis Book Happy Hour (@thetravisbookhappyhour)Travis Book (@travisbook)Americana Vibes (@americana.vibes)--- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/travis-book/support
