Episode 2: Them! (1954)
from Ghouls in the House
Ants and locusts (well, grasshoppers) attack! In this episode, Natalie and Arnold take a look at two giant bug movies of the 1950s, THEM! (1954) – one of Arnold's favorite films of all time in any genre – and BEGINNING OF THE END (1957), which they discovered via MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000. Featuring the brothers Aurness (James Arness, Peter Graves), the two movies share some other notable connections, so keep a can of spray handy as Natalie and Arnold take a deep dive into a New Mexico ant colony and chase those grasshoppers – sorry, locusts – all the way to Lake Michigan! And remember, when you're listening to this podcast, the only ghoul in the house...is YOU! Show Music: "Cemetery Dance" by The Vivisectors.
