Hello. We got the Ann. Hello silent Don Hi, and tonight we actually have a special guest We've invited Paul Welch from the badass spirit outlaws, which is another ghost hunting group to come and join us tonight as a guest I'm going to everybody um Paul. Where's your group based out of Murray Utah Murray Utah and to be honest with you I love Paul and his group.
How many people do you have in your group? That's not bigger than I thought it was. Yeah, I would bring that one a little bit closer. I can probably take it out of the stand if you want to if It's easier for you.
I don't know closer closer still About two or three inches from your face. I might want to go that stands awful Oh, that looks a lot better. Anyway So you guys are based out of Murray Utah you got about 10 people Tell me a little bit. How you guys started?
A little over a year ago the four co-founders Which is me my life gen even even lights and many we were all part of another team And things just weren't going so well So we kind of decided to branch off and start our own thing and we wanted to be more more helpful as a group and do more public events So we just decided to start our own kind of make it kind of little lively Well, that's one thing I've always enjoyed working with you guys because you guys have got a very personable very likable group And you guys do a lot of public events, which is like us. We actually do quite a bit of public events with uh The pod bash team in fact actually before we get too far into this. I should let everybody know that next Saturday Which is a week from today. There is going to be an all-night investigation at the off-Broadway theater Um, you can go to pod bash.com or grab one ghost court tours.com To go to that all night investigation will be from midnight to six a.m And that's at the off-Broadway theater in Salt Lake City Uh, wist will be there.
Um, and now I think you got an investigation going on that same night. Don't you Paul? Yeah, before Douglas. Before Douglas now is that just a public investigation with your team or is that with part of the Utah paranormal?
That one is just a team and then we have another one on the 22nd for the paranormal festival that chrome's all up. Okay, and the paranormal festival That's actually kind of an interesting story in and of itself. Um, about two years ago. I think it was So Renee Moore who was a psychic and medium here locally.
She actually arranged and set up paragon, which was kind of a kind of a comic-con but Infinitely smaller and it was kind of paranormal guests. Um, there's some ghost hunts associated with it Psychic's mediums. What else was there? Tim read you guys were there.
Yes, that's right. Actually met you guys. What else was there? Um, vendors sending necklaces that kind of thing paranormal gear that were what?
Yeah, it's in plays going on. They have some just a bunch of different that's in different paranormal panels. Right. In fact, I made Tim this the zombie panel It was their show that they put on.
I went to their panel. They told me about this awesome like live kind of like role-playing show that they're doing or they're gonna involve some of the audience members Tim are you a larber? I have friends at larber people. I have friends at larber but I've never larked.
I do play role-playing games though. I think it's with you. You know this. That's true Um, anyway, but they did paracon and the first year it was kind of a bigger event.
Um, I don't know that it was a financial success I I have a hard time putting numbers on the guests. Um, but then last year, they also put together paracon as well Uh, and they almost canceled it and they in hindsight probably should have What happened is near the very end as it got closer They were gonna cancel and actually Paul was good enough to kind of take the reins and keep it alive Unfortunately because of some of the mismanagement done on the front end, Paul had his work cut out for him and it wasn't nearly as accessible as it was gonna be. Um, but Paul has kind of taken the reins um, and got together with a lot of the other entire pereminable groups and is putting together the Utah Pereminable Festival Um, and part of that is because actually the pot-bash founders owned the paracon name that was not used with permission before Um, you know, and so the other pereminable groups were aware of that and uh, and they thought that the pereminable festival would actually be a better Name that people know what it was because I mean paracon is a little bit ambiguous if you didn't know exactly what it was It was um, you know, you didn't know if it's special olympians or what the deal is when you hear paracon Um, so what got involved in ghost any poll? Um, about Five years ago, I had a friend of mine, can you hear me?
Uh, I had a friend of mine, he reached out to me and asked me Uh, if I wanted to go on this public ghost hunt with him at asylum 49 It was like some kind of radio winning thing that he got and that was my very first time out ghost hunting was a public event And then I went maybe a year later to asylum 49 did another public event And it just so happened um, a couple of years after that my wife started going to these seances And started meeting people in the perenomah field and that's kind of when I got involved as the jointer and we do this together now in our team And uh, so let me ask you what are some of your favorite places you investigated? My favorite place by far is the family tree. I feel at home when I'm there and it's not just a food It's a scones nipple This comes from very good, but I just feel really at home when I go there. I feel comfortable Another place that I really like going in and this is kind of recent is the infrastructure in magna You know, I've seen that investigation open up a couple times and I wish I'd been able to go to it and it's one that I actually need to get out there too Um It's one of those things where you gotta kind of have to manage your time The free up time to get out there.
Yeah, you're putting your finger up in air. You want to interject to make any shot No, I'm adjusting my microphone. Oh, I thought you're like flipping me word or like a word in edgewise You guys are you going to the empress here on the very fifth, correct? On the fifth we have paranormal you hosting that event for the perenomah festival I probably will be there, but I've already been there like three times and I just love that location Now I know you guys do a lot of public events you guys do private investigations as well We do have we do do house investigations, which we've been getting busier and busier with those Kind of slowed down over the holidays, but uh, we're getting a couple a month now Yeah, I'm gonna say that's I don't know what it is last year is the same and this year was the same People kind of get a little bit incredulous when I tell them how many investigations we do we do roughly I would say 50 a year Um And it's weird because through July and June we may get one or two here and there but I think just in the last two weeks We've gotten how many at the end about eight.
Yeah, I say I know that I passed on some to you But there's something I haven't passed on to you that I've gotten from through the ghost talkers Um, but yeah, we've got like investigations back immediately after this podcast tonight. Um, we've got two I was actually gonna do three tonight, but one I've decided to put it off and just do the two Tomorrow night. We've got another one. Um, and I thank you for that.
By the way, are you coming to that investigation tonight? Maybe oh, don't maybe me The one tomorrow night just and we'll probably talk about tomorrow night investigation our next podcast Uh, that one is actually and I'm not gonna say where it is gonna protect my client's privacy Uh, but that one is gonna be a very dark dark investigation the client has sent me photos of scratches that he's had Um, he said I can't think we should have left the house. It's made him feel ill Uh, it's gotten so bad his wife and daughter actually moved out until they can get the problem resolved Uh, so it's gonna be a that one's gonna be a handful. I can already tell that was gonna be a handful And you want me to go?
Of course I do. I'm like, why do you want her through the sprinklers? I don't know. There's gonna be sprinklers this time of year.
Um, I think it'll be more wandering to a snow drift Or that or strangling or strangling. I'd like to see that. That's what I'd like to see Yeah, I don't know if we told Paul about last time we're at the family tree. Uh, brandy tried to strangle me Uh, but um, I did not it wasn't me.
It wasn't you it was Lucy, but she was pulling the public strings Anyway, um, so what a bit some of your needs experiences that you've had Paul I've seen stuff thrown, um at the family tree Uh, we've had flashlights knocked over my wife was taken over at the family tree And we have a video of that and watching that through, you know, my vision camera was pretty smooth You see my wife look at me like she was gonna kill me I mean when I went down there to join them they're laughing they're having a good time And by the time I set up my equipment she wanted to kill me and that's kind of what happened when brandy Asensac tried to strangle me a little bit. Um What other some of your other experiences you've had that you really enjoyed? Um, we've had it to where we've had flashlights turn on and kind of roll with each other parallel Um, I I personally at my own house Um, I had one of those uh pump soaps on the counter like knock over and fly all the way across this long counter Just right as I walked into the bathroom is just crazy pretty I'm a little bit of reused it by then um that one freaked me out because I was like right before I really got into being on a team And I just didn't know what caused it You know, that's probably one of my most frequent questions I get from people and I don't know what I'm kind of looking at everybody here at the table Um, but I get people ask me all the time. Doesn't that scare you?
Is that stuff right? Yeah And I want to say kind of like you when I first start doing it Yeah, I used to get you know, a little hair from back when I used to go up and get a little freaky But anymore it's like, oh, yeah, something got thrown at me. Oh, yeah, I'm ready. He's trying to choke me out Um, yeah, I got the same responses after what happened to me at the design building my friends are like, you're still gonna investigate And I'm like, well, if I'm out there helping people, yeah, it's worth it Yeah, and I don't I mean I don't get scared.
I'll get startled. If you're not expecting something to happen, I mean it You know, it'll startle you, but I don't know that it scares me anymore. Speaking of stuff I sure brandy was listening to something Annie. Oh, she was commenting.
Oh, speaking of it's actually got a listener question for Annie Um, and by the way, if anyone sent us questions, please do Um, there's a couple things I want to talk about here and I'm gonna ask you Paul just some of your theories and stuff here in a minute. Um Caleb Kirby, uh, by the way, lurch was telling me that he was interested in peer factory along with three other people Um, we're in a pretty good group. I think for a fair factory. Yeah, so too.
Okay, now I'm gonna read his question verbatim here So if there's bad grammar, it's Caleb's fault. It's actually the paid more attention in school You guys talk about Annie a lot and how she is around brandy We were wondering what effect the negative spirits like Lucy from the family tree have on Annie Can she hurt any or is there some type of protection that brandy at any have? Um, her like Annie and I we have a bond so Um, when I have my protection bubble up it protects her also Um, as far as I know the only bullet effects that somebody like Lucy has on Annie is trying to take her To a dark place or trying to make her a type two type of font And just for those who are new to our podcast, I we've classified spirits into three different uh classifications And this is our own personal wisps classification. It's not necessarily industry-wide and our type one is basically a human spirit There's no malice.
They're just here for whatever reason a type two is a human spirit that is uh, negative They're mallevelant malicious. They're usually working a concert with a type three and a type three and I kind of go the rounds with some other people in the industry And that's a type three is what I consider to be a demonic spirit Uh, there's some in the industry that think demonic spirits are incredibly rare. Um, powerful demonic spirits are however My personal belief is that they are not rare at all, but most of them aren't that powerful And usually if you get a real active haunting, there's usually a type three spirit kind of behind it pulling the strings Speaking of which, Paul, what are some of your theories or what is your view on that kind of stuff? Um, as far as demonic I haven't really dealt with too much, you know, demonic spirits.
I don't have the experiences Um with them so to me most of them are just really upset spirits, you know when they're mean in life they're mean in the afterlife Um, and since I don't have the experience with demonic, I don't know if I should classify them as demonic or not But I have heard of things that are just downright evil When I go on investigations other people's experiences are frightening So Paul what are some of your theories on why spirits are here and haven't crossed and uh, and uh, what are some of your thoughts along those lines? Some are trapped, um, some are children who are afraid to cross over because They're still looking for their parents where they're at right now And I ran into some of those. I have a child spirit that follows me named bath Um she comes across almost every investigation with the exception of a few locations. I never get hurt, but uh I think spirit can come to us from the other side at any time Though if we're thinking about them Or if there's something that triggers, you know, then wanting to be there whether we're going through the same thing in life as they are They could suddenly show up to communicate with us What have been some of your biggest challenges as far as investigations go under?
Give me some good war stories. Paul. What do you got? What do you got?
Um, staying organized, you know, you go into an investigation with a mindset of this is our plan And it almost never goes that way, you know, you have things you want to do And then you get stuck on some other thing for the rest of the night and you just never do it You know, like, oh, now we gotta go back It's kind of like 10 to sloppa's, but that's where he got his uh nickname from because he was wanting to come take photos and he got Cornered by some gentleman wanted to tell him stories on that line So just like for an example, you can get you know, for those people who like to use the spare box You can get stuck using that for hours if you don't learn to shut it off and try something else Speaking of which, um, what are your favorite pieces of equipment or what are the what are the favorite pieces of equipment for your team? Um, my personal favorite piece of equipment is is the echo box, which is an app on my phone when we get really crazy responses Um that I just cannot explain, you know, their direct response responses to questions. I've had it to where I've asked them if they killed anybody and it's a girlfriend No, I think I saw that video clip. Yeah, and then I'd ask like well, who did you kill and it's a Douglas?
So it's answering her questions and we get we get names that sometimes also came off on another piece of equipment at the same time Now I know you use the echo box. You guys use the sp7 don't you? No, oh, you guys do not use the sp7 I have the sp11 and it almost never leaves my box. Okay.
I say, you know, and I I've heard kind of makes reviews on the sp11 What are you I know you said it's like the box, but kind of what are your thoughts or what's been your experience? Um, it's really loud and I sell them and get responses on it Um and since it's so loud it just kind of fills the room with just static and you just can't hear it Let's stop listening to thottio and play back to when all of it is just white noise and static. Correct You know, I was gonna say that one thing about the sp7 and probably the sp11 as well is uh It leaves a lot of open interpretation. I'd say for probably every One or two clear answers you get you probably get about 15 that really could be any number of different like just radio Yeah, well, you know, you're in the room and you hear From across on a thing in here.
You know one person goes, it's a murder. They're based. Yeah, you know, and everybody's shouting out a different answer I hate to interrupt, but your kids left, right? Yes, they're not here.
I'm hearing you're hearing little girls singing. Yeah, there's no kids in your house, but I'm hearing little girls singing headphones Me too. Yep. Well, I heard I'm not on the headphones too.

We had to debunk that and it has been debunked to the children are still here in the house No, the uh, that's the living children correct. Correct. That would have been really awesome though. Have they been gone And everyone had it signs me was gonna say and I also suspect that would have been on the recording because it was pretty loud But I was gonna I was gonna agree with you though on the sp7s that you get a room full of people and you get some Really an enigmatic response and sometimes some people are like, oh, it's it this some some people say I'll say this instead There are other times I know you've been there when the response has been just crystal clear.
Yes, clear as well that they're saying a particular word or particular phrase I know we talked about it last week a little bit the um the portal that uh the half-parent will put out But I do behind that is it cut out the white noise so it makes it easier to hear and I really want to try one out But I'm kind of like hesitant at the same time. Well, it's like $600 to build one too. I've got a guitar amp So if you we could probably build something similar for if you want to experience one go to empress on the fifth They have one. Oh really?
Just need like a guitar reverb switch pedal and and the amp and the The app for your phone and whatever it is that that's a hard part those you charge is like what I know Seriously, that app that's one of those where I would probably like to try it three or four times before I'm ready to show out that kind of money for the app I don't mind buying ghost equipment, but for $600 I better have a chance to play with it or know exactly what it does like I wouldn't mind showing out a grand for a third world camera because I don't exactly what it does and how it works But a homemade thing $600 Oh, I don't know you want to go to the top dancing for that? Yes, you can buy a whole lot of equipment for $600. I want a ghostly lap dance Well, I've got another listener question. Let's touch on that real quick And this is actually kind of interesting and I think we can do a whole show on it Tim you're not supposed to be like that without asking first.
You said you wanted me to touch on that. Oh dear And I told you we're not getting an episode. It's not PD 13 You know, so I got a lot cleaner with that. Hey, yes, not that I don't have a but like we've gone from a hard R to like a Question Oh, all right.
Here we go. This question's from Sandy Rossier. I apologize Sandy if I murdered your last name I can see like from a different way for now. However, it's gonna be that way forever never because that's how castle is so yeah, just like alica Alisa alica anyway Here's that these questions in the bible one of the common miracles is removing of spirits from possessed people It seemed to me there are a lot of possessed people back then.
Why don't we hear that now? Do we have possessed among us and we don't know it where they just wicker minded back then easy to take over any thoughts on this one I have thoughts. I thought this might be actually an interesting discussion who applied I'm gonna start with Paul since he's our guest. Paul what's your thought on her?
My thought on it is we we now understand it a lot more and we might not see it as a possession as where back in the days They probably thought it was my turn I think that we classify you know just kind of the same as what Paul said we just classify different I think a lot of times possessions actual possessions are seen these days as mental illnesses Um and I'm not saying that all mental illnesses manifest as possessions But I think a possession can manifest as a mental illness Or vice versa correct. Yeah, that's my thoughts on it. How long have you been possessed? Well depends on I'm an actual possession according to you.
This is pointing to catholicism Real hardcore possessions really happen it takes an awful amount of time and energy from a negative or demonic spirit in order to be able to take Of a person's body completely. Yeah, there's two different types of possession. Well three technically Um and possessions actually one where I want to show on I've got a theologian friend that I thought about bringing in for this Um most everybody who is born has a natural Protection if you will against that. There are ways to destroy that protection usually by doing things that you thought not be doing When you start giving up your ability to What's sort of looking for the ability to make decisions?
I e let's say drug abuse or alcoholism where you were kind of giving up some of your control of yourself I think depression and falling there too. You kind of open the door to That's where the kind of the mental illness is when you can be poking Um So with that there's kind of a partial possession which is just kind of a brief partial control Which would be what we see a lot of on ghost investigations like Lucy for instance that would be just a real brief temporary Moment of control and they're scary, but they're not Usually detrimental as long as you know what it is and can deal with it There's full possession which as brandy said is very rare And it usually takes a lot of uh Work on both part of the evil entity and the person who is the victim right? And then you've got the handful of people that want that for some weird reason and if you allow it It's gonna happen a lot faster. I say and that's the last one's gonna touch on it That's called there's actually terminology for that called perfect possession and that's someone who's willfully said Hey, give me on yours and as you your question that other people watching around the manga's who are possessed.
Yes, there certainly are There's actually a practice in uh, Brazil My brother served his mission in Sao Paulo where they do something similar to like that where uh someone will invite the spirits of the deceased to enter the body And uh, it's not always you know the living uh deceased spirits that enter the body and uh one time he was telling me about an experience Where he actually saw a guy that you know full brazilian didn't speak a single word of english Um do that ritual and uh, he was clearly possessed and uh when they they tried to cast the spirit out I mean he spoke perfect english and said you know, I know who your master is and then they continued to cast the spirit out and Two couple times from what you told me but and I think sometimes you know and the next question is well There's because that's people you know how we can tell I think sometimes you can't um castle and I dealt with a situation in cedar city Um years and years ago where it's been over 20 years ago at this point Where just to look at this person if you didn't know a couple of nuances you wouldn't be able to tell in hindsight Hindsight now it's like oh wow. Yeah, um however one time um silent don and I were driving in provo I love how you call him son of a donut I don't call him that at home just here Yes, she is At home she calls him master And there's the r Um In this lady drove past us and I don't know if I don't know why but for some reason she turned around and I don't know if she was looking at me You're looking beyond me, but if she was not possessed, I would be extremely I would put money on it I mean this look on her face was so pure evil. I thought that can't be him. There's something seriously wrong with it.
I've seen that look Yeah, I've seen that look too. The lady at the role in scrunto prison That's never fine that when you're saying that people give up power as far as like Drugs and alcohol and all those things. I don't have any of those issues. It's just a whole in my ability Right, right and I'm not saying that happens with everybody I'm saying that's kind of one of the primary gateways for most people To have that happen as a put themselves in position through Basically giving up their free will through drugs alcohol any other addictions Uh that kind of helps open up that gateway.
The other thing that does it is real Evil acts. I mean the same kind of stuff that would bite e spirits into your home and your life or the same kind of things that will Open you up to that kind of control. Ie is interesting. I was watching a discovery channel Documentary and this has been years ago.
It was talked about I think Gacy, what's the name of the day? Gacy sir? John Wayne Gacy John Wayne Gacy. Thank you I'm possibly forget that but it was interviewing some detectives who had actually gone in and Investigated the home and searched the home and found the bodies and one of the detectives said that when he got in the home It just felt really heavy really dark as interesting from a ghost investigator standpoint He was basically describing what I feel like when I go through a really dark super evil investigation Well, do you recall about a year ago when we had that incident with that young man that was involved with Witchcraft and magic.
Yes, and we hadn't come meet us at a bishop's office And we spent probably about an hour hour and a half there talking with this ship talking with him when he first walked in He was clearly not normal I mean there was something else going on there and just had this feeling of Darkness about him and he ended up taking his life just a few weeks later didn't he? Yeah, I was a couple months later. We did what we could help him but the hard part is is that to get help you need to be willing to Accept the help and you got to meet in the middle, right? And so yeah, that was a tough case, but it was interesting that that discovery channel thing that I hear this detected described perfectly what I feel when I go into any Of these investigations and they're really dark, but here's someone who has no experience whatsoever with You know paranormal to describe those same feelings.
It doesn't say kind of things that can bring that stuff in Um now back to the other side of this The reason they're you heard about a lot back in the bible and other scriptures and not so much now and paul hit on it perfect Is that these days? I think a lot of well, we understand middle illness a lot better now than they did back then back then any mental illness was So should demon center right or you were practicing witchcraft or your practicing witchcraft? Um These days I think actual mental illness is better recognized. That's not to discount that there is such things possession However, at the same time, I think we also Misdiagnosed possession in some cases as mental illness not all cases, but I think occasionally They don't know what it is and they just well, it's some kind of mental illness that we haven't determined yet We haven't figured out yet.
Um, and so that's kind of the big difference people that really have weaker minds back then It's just the whole medical profession wasn't as advanced as it is now right and just like with with people with abilities like mediums Um back in the days they would be considered witches right absolutely In fact that if you did anything different you could be labeled witch So if you put on shoes that we're not like everybody else's she'd be a witch and we'd murder I'd be burned in fact should be burned for that we've been on top of her microphone stand and my purple filter because it's yeah, weirdo And that's why castle stop wearing pumps When did he stop wearing pumps this isn't his to me? Well, I always warm around you Tim. Oh, I must be special. I like him.
Thanks Um, so let me ask you Paul because I know that you guys don't usually handle the darker stuff What's probably the darkest investigation that you've had to deal with? Um, we went to a house in an arm Um, let me put that directly for your mouth. Yeah, the microphone Yeah, we went to a house in an arm that was uh kind of strange because they had crosses painted all over the walls And what he had attached to him was some kind of lizard spirit Um, and that kind of freaked me out a little bit when my wife was picking up on that And we worked at Clint's you know out of him And were you guys able to get that out of there? Yes, so let me ask you what method Does your team use as far as cleansing goes?
What kind of things do you guys like to do? We actually brought another medium that did the cleansing Um, and she she has her own, um, a method of doing it. It's not really something I'm more on the technical side. So Um, she kind of banishes banishes the spirit out to amount Okay, so and that's the reason I asked is different teams have kind of different different methods and means that they use Um, we dance around naked Tim dents is running.
It scares the ghost. We just don't put it in the internet. I mean, yeah, it's really like I just I run into houses But naked in the spirit. She's kind of fleet.
I like we don't want to see this. We're done. We're out So I've been on some house investigations where we just do the normal smud dream and stuff like that Um, but this one was kind of special to where she had to the banish to greet your So was it effective? You guys had any issues that we had to go back or we haven't had to go back And that's always a good thing if you don't have to go back we've we personally had a couple cases Um, fact we actually did a podcast on one for those who are listening to go back and listen to it's the evans investigation That has been almost a constant every six months.
We have to go back This gentleman's got a portal basically is basement the will not stay closed and has got all kinds of stuff creeping out of that portal For those of you that want to go back and listen to it, I believe it's titled the scary one I think it is titled the scary one. I think that's right Did air I like dead air dead air So please man, one thing that I've noticed when we we've kind of dealt with like partial positions Is like the person's eyes seem to kind of go like black and you can just kind of tell this looking in their eyes that it's not like really them I think their face goes slack. Yeah, and just The face does kind of go slack. Um, like he said the people said the dye a little bit And so the eyes look a lot blacker than they normally do we've I know I know lurch and I have gone some evil stairs I've seen that looking brandy's eye more than once.
Yeah me too. Um, I understand it a few other people's eyes as well. Um She's actually been able to see in her own eyes at one point, but I'm not allowed to uh share that video I was gonna say and we've actually caught on video that we That's why I bought the infrared cameras. I wanted to make a parasolent type video.
Oh dear. Are we already yet? Can the slob whisper and lurch in the home video So I had the queen to work. So I have a question.
How many times have you guys been called out on a house investigation? Where are the homeowners just Crazy, um, you know, okay. I'm in it first of all castle is Like the demon whisper. Yes, they love him.
I would say that's true Seems like I think more of our residential have the type three's than not Even if there would be no like one have we ever had it. I just don't know crazy I don't think it was crazy. I do we didn't go to his house, but I don't remember the guy that was sending us pictures and he's like I think I possessed but it could be the LSD I got emails from a lady who would um The way she would talk sounded like Satan and his minions were meeting in her living room every evening And we need to come right now and so I try to schedule something and then the next day everything was fine They were gonna go to the park and back and forth like that for weeks and we never actually have found that That was really strange because she contacted me like oh, they're having a general conference of Satanism in my living room I wake up and you try to schedule it and she just like every time and it's one of those things that when she would contact you She was like, you know, it was a huge emergency. Oh, and you know, Facebook email on your page and down for like an hour Why I can be there Tuesday.
Well, Tuesday's not good. I've got a nail appointment Kind of thing. Well, the reason the reason why I asked is we went on one where the guy was videoing in his house at I didn't the dark and I'm not gonna say why now, but he was seeing all these orbs in his house And pretty much it was dust, but you know he had he swore up and down it was it was ghost in his house We've been pretty fortunate. I usually when we get a case come in I usually call and talk to whoever it is And we've been pretty fortunate as far as not having to deal with any crazies I mean even the crazy ones that we have kind of dealt with through a little bit nutty Um have actually had some stuff going on like the slobwhis warehouse All the ones that want me to go to their house by myself and finds their house Yeah, those ones though, I think are more I hate to say it's apparently those to me feel like more like a trap than actual crazy as a So let's get ready by herself And I can think of another example too because for anyone that's listening that doesn't know already castles in law enforcement And without any names.
I know that you had a case come in that uh, um, you knew her from your Oh, yes, enforcement dealings. Oh, yes. Yeah, I would kind of label her a little bit more eccentric You know, uh, family especially oddly enough though. They did have stuff in their house They did but yeah, as well as ones that want you to identify something their house then they wanted you to come out personally Calling your personal phone every 15 minutes Yeah, I had a thing for you.

I think the ghosts were in her underwear The daughter the daughter would like start. She wanted you to come get them You had a bad phone I didn't even know her daughter and she passed along my phone at my personal cell phone number to her daughter and her daughter's like sending me all these photos I'm like who is this? Seriously folk confession I may have written your phone number down in the stalls at the point I saw it above that glory hole the other day That's okay. I'm gonna throw this one out to Paul. I know I know man's the glory hole. Yes I do every day Twice a week 3 p.m every day twice a week. So, um, I know we've already we've already kind of mentioned it on some of our shows on our Opinion on the the weg board.
We don't use them. We feel they bring negative entities around I don't know what how you and your group feels about those Um, we're kind of torn on that one You know half of us think it's just another means of communication like the thousand rods and pendulums Um, and I see it that way. I think they kind of have a bad rap, but personally I think it's just another another way to Have the spirit to use your energy to communicate with so how do you feel about that like the hello kitty version? Would you buy that for your daughter?
No, I've seen those like they have us Like they sell these and like market them towards like little kids, but there's there's a lot of things You could actually turn into a communication device. Oh, absolutely I use what's called a geofone, which is basically just a vibration detector and we get we get them to tap on it Sometimes during a house investigation my wife will be doing a reading and telling them what's in the house And when she hits it spot on you just hear that thing and the other room go beep You know as if they're confirming like you know what you're saying. So where did you get your geofones? Paul if you don't let me ask him.
Um, I have one that's on my eddy meter Which is something I got from go center store.com and you can also download an app on your mobile device called geofone Okay, which works really well. I say the reason I asked him. I've got the geofone free on my phone I say he uses the app and I've actually built a couple but mine the two that I built don't have sound So he said sound that kind of peach might interest right the one the one I have on my phone You know we use it on my tablet has a bright blue light so you can direct them. Hey, if that's you tap on the blue light Yeah, that's the same app that I use so we've established you guys use the echo box and you guys use The geofones what else does your team use?
We have k2 meters and flashlights of course EMF pumps. Let's see what else do I have I have a v pod which is approximately centered. We have male meters Have you had much Success with the v pod? Um, I just barely got it over the holiday season.
So we haven't used it really yet Can you explain what that is from right now? Basically, it's it's like the rim pod if you know what the rim pod does It basically has an antenna and so when anything gets an interview from the antenna all the lights are lighting up Um, the amount of lights that light up or the intensity of how close it is to to the device And uh, sorry guys. He goes down there. They're like jeff fuel And I honestly feel like it depends on who you take with you Um, there's nights i've been there where there's very little activity and I think I think some people just have that connection Where you know the spiritual like hey, we have the ability to communicate We just start coming in You know and I've noticed two and a different people have different kind of uh, we've talked about ours a little bit on the show Um, but some people kind of have a different energy to them than others aside from ours and friends with her shaker head way shaker head But ready? So Paul what other investigations you guys have on the radar I know that the Utah paranormal festival has got some investigations coming up I know you guys as a team have some investigations coming up What do you guys have on the radar aside from uh Fort Douglas and some of the other things? Um, the big one that we have coming up is in February 27th, I believe we're going to the watch up in Nevada Is that gonna be like an overnight thing? It is an overnight one.
So does the cost of that include? Uh transportation and lodging or is it just the investigation everybody's kind of got to get themselves there Is that just you and the team? It's just the team they only allow eight people in the building at one time So I'm gonna be part of that as a result We already had a full bus going out there. So, um, yeah, we do have a couple members I don't see each day in behind because we can only take eight people.
So yeah, we can't get something similar this last It's a delir June. What are you doing? Um, we had uh, we took a 10-man road trip We went to the Rollins kind of tentery in Wyoming and then the next day walk up and drove down to the Stanley hotel Uh in Colorado So it's fun. It's a lot of fun.
Well, the watch up club is actually very reasonable. It's during the summer months It's about 400 for overnight for your whole team during the winter it's 200 dollars. Oh, that's not bad. Wow.
And they do they do ask for a $20 donation from every member Um for renovation because they are renovating the building but you get the whole three-story building on that one. Nice. That one goes to hunters That whole city is haunted. My wife went to school there.

The thing I don't like is it's really loud. So if you're in a place like family tree and you're split up, you can hear it in the other side of the building. Okay. So let me ask Paul because I know that our team does a lot with EVPs.
Uh, I love EVPs. I do a ton of audio recording. Do you guys do much with EVPs? You guys just do the echo box stuff for?
Um, we do we do capture EVPs and we do have a a streamer account where we usually post those and couldn't tell you for the life of me where it's located. Oh, if you get that, uh, just send me the link and I'll post that up as well so people can go and see kind of what you guys are up to and what you're doing. Um, Other than that, I know you upload a lot of your videos straight to your Facebook page on the event. That's the video I was making.
Oh, yeah, I upload a lot of videos. Yeah, I'm gonna say and that's one thing I love about Paul and his team and one of the reasons I want to have Paul and his guest is because I have all the groups in Utah. Paul is continually posting evidence that they've captured and so it's always interesting to see what Paul's got going on next and what's new and Paul's always going out on investigations. Right.
I personally love to go out with every team. You know, I've been with this part of an office. Well, I've been reaching out to any group I could find in Utah, North, South, trying to get the whole community involved with that. Yeah, in fact, actually I've had a poll to go with us to the two investigations tonight, but he hung in the middle burdens that screwed you castle.
