Episode 20 - Brian Carlton
from The Motor Dream Podcast Hosted by Conor McNally
In this episode of the Motor Dream Podcast, we delve into the fascinating journey of Brian Carlton, a renowned figure in the world of Australian talkback radio. Having made history as the youngest talk show host on a metropolitan AM station, Carlton's humble and down-to-earth approach sets him apart from his more prominent counterparts. Growing up amidst the surf culture of Sydney's Northern Beaches, Carlton's true passion lay in the realm of cars, where he carved his own path, defying the norms of car ownership prevalent at the time. Through the years, he has remained steadfast in his modesty about being an 'accidental radio superstar', something that carries through in his current role as a presenter for 2CC in Canberra. With a refreshing perspective on car ownership, Carlton's story is not just about radio stardom but also about staying true to oneself in a world that often celebrates flash over substance.
