Episode 20: Coronavirus special

from Beer Christianity · host Beer Christianity

Corona. It's not just a reasonable beer. Nobody's really talking about it, but it's also a virus. You heard it here first. What is it okay to be judgey about, Covid-wise? And will anyone go back to church after the joys of online services? What is helpful and unhelpful for the Church to be saying right now? Ben, Laura and Jonty get together online to discuss Christian responses to Covid-19, whether real life church will survive online services and unscientific judgementalism in the age of social distancing. This episode was recorded before the Big Corona Lockdown in the UK, but we still went for safety and did it via a new (to us) online platform, so excuse the ropey sound.  If you want to give to a charity that will be working with partners around the world to respond to the Coronavirus crisis, visit BMS World Mission's Coronavirus Appeal. They are a mission and development charity working in many ministries, and they will be helping churches and charities around the world respond to the effects of the virus -- and they'll be doing it long-term.    Follow Beer Christianity on Twitter: @beerxianity and find us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and Stitcher.  All Beer Christianity shows and info available at http://beerchristianity.libsyn.com  Jesus Christ is the Son of God and came to teach us a better way to be while reconciling us to God and each other in a way we could never do without Him. He also changed water into wine. Nice.

Words of Jesus Podcast Don C. Harris (AP) Hello, I'm Don C. Harris of Think Red Ink Ministries. Welcome to the Words of Jesus Podcast. This series is based on Jesus - His life, His friends, His ministry and His relationship with His Father as recorded in the four gospels. Together, we will delve into mysteries that have been hidden; not from us, but for us - in "The Words of Jesus." My goal is to reinforce Christianity with the wisdom and words of Jesus; which, incidentally, are recorded in red ink in your Bible. Do you know what Jesus said? What Jesus did? What Jesus said to do? I want to hear from you. Tell me who you are, where you are from and how you are listening to this broadcast. Write to [email protected].
