Episode 20 | Navigating the Financial Battle of Cancer | Eve Beutler, Cancer Angels of San Diego

In this episode of "Live Local, Give Local" listeners enjoy a great conversation between Dave Mason, the Host, this episode's co-host, David Drazenovich, and Eve Beutler, the CEO, and founder of Cancer Angels of San Diego. Cancer Angels of San Diego is a non-profit that was founded completely out of necessity. After hearing about the financial burden that cancer patients and those with long-term disabilities face not only in regard to treatment and medication costs but also the cost of living without a steady income, Eve quickly took action. Within a couple of weeks, Cancer Angels of San Diego was created.Cancer Angels is run completely off of a small base of volunteers and the donations of those in the local San Diego community. This is why being part of San Diego Gives have been so beneficial as they have been able to identify donors and volunteers. Donations often go to help patients and their families continue to stay in their homes, put food on the table, and purchase other necessities. Giving back to this organization can be more about just donating money, but also about donating time and skills.
