There are some truths that are difficult to speak.Not because they are unclear.But because they break our hearts.A loving parent doesn’t enjoy warning a child about danger.A faithful physician doesn’t delight in delivering a difficult diagnosis.Neither did the Apostle Paul take pleasure in speaking about those who had turned away from Christ.His words today aren’t harsh.They are sorrowful.He speaks, not with anger, but with tears.In doing so, he reminds us that truth and compassion are never meant to be enemies.The Christian heart holds them together.
