What a historic day it was on Wall Street. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above fifty thousand for the first time ever, gaining three hundred seventy points, or zero point seven five percent, to fifty thousand sixty-three. Not to be outdone, the S&P five hundred rose fifty-seven points, or zero point seven seven percent, hitting a new all-time high of seventy-five hundred and one. The Nasdaq Composite also set a record, advancing two hundred thirty-three points, or zero point eight eight percent, to close at twenty-six thousand six hundred thirty-five. The market opened firmly in the green today and sustained that buying interest from open to close, with no afternoon fade. It was a broad-based advance, seeing all three major indices hit intraday and closing records simultaneously. Looking ahead, S&P five hundred futures are trading up zero point three four percent above the cash close, suggesting a modestly positive drift. Nasdaq one hundred futures show a more notable after-hours extension, up zero point seven one percent, pointing to continued tech momentum. Dow futures, however, are essentially flat versus the close, taking a breather after today's milestone.
