Episode 203 -- Prostitution and Prohibition: Madam Brown and Madam Fawcett

Welcome back to the Manor!  We're continuing our Prohibition series with part 3 that discusses prostitution.  We're focusing on two famous madams: Madam Edith Brown of Terre Haute, Indiana, USA and Madam Dolly Fawcett of Dublin, Ireland.  The prohibition was in more force in the United States, but there were many pub rules in Dublin that Dolly skirted. We talk about their lives and their professions and the general drinking and prostitution cultures of their times, so you'll get a bit more of what it was like in Terre Haute during its Sin City phase and in Dublin for its mid-century pub life.
