Episode 204: Ephesians Series- Employers - Do Not Be Abusive Towards Your Workers
from Detox with Abi · host Abimbola Arawande
(Ephesians 6:9) Recently, I read couple of posts on twitter explaining how certain Christians were spiritually abused by their pastors or leaders in Church. These posts grieved my heart. I remembered having to employ a lady now turned sister, as a sit-in nanny for our 6 months old son years ago, she mentioned how reluctant she was to work with us because of the experience she had with previous couple. This same lovely lady ended up taking care of our other younger ones at some point. She also had privilege of being referred to another family friends of ours. As Christian employers, there is need to remember that whatever you do will be repaid by the Lord. You will surely be rewarded for the way you treat your workers as Apostle Paul mentioned in Ephesians 5:8-9 “Be assured that anything you do that is beautiful and excellent will be repaid by our Lord, whether you are an employee or an employer.” Ephesians 6:8 TPT “You masters, do the same [showing goodwill] toward them, and give up threatening and abusive words, knowing that [He who is] both their true Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with Him [regardless of one’s earthly status].” Ephesians 6:9 AMP Let us pray Father we thank You for Your Word that directs us. By the help us to always remember that when, whoever and wherever we serve, it should be done to honour You.
