At 21, Carry visited a college friend in Kansas. Though agnostic, he agreed to pray after being told he was “afraid to.” He said, “If I’ve done anything wrong, I’m truly sorry, and if there is a God, I want to know you.” Suddenly, gray scales seemed to fall from his eyes, and a brilliant white light filled the room. A presence in the light, full of love, spoke into his mind: “Carry, I love you exactly the way you are.” Overwhelmed, he asked, “Is it alright to be gay?” The being gently replied, “Carry, that is not the most important question,” with joy and compassion. The being touched him, and a golden, living light filled his body with joy and peace. In that moment, he knew the being was Jesus. The experience changed his life. Carry became a Catholic priest and often sees the spirits of the recently deceased, radiant with love.
