Episode 205 - Evil Editors

We have another interesting pairing of films that have a lot in common. They both focus on film editors who get caught up in some crazy moments and violence and murder ensues!  We start off with Evil Ed from 1995, a Swedish production that really goes for it! This movie is incredibly ambitious, especially when considering it's small budget, but the filmmakers really succeed! The film follows a mild-mannered editor, named Ed, who is tasked with editing a series of slasher films. The act of working on the films starts to change him into the titular character and tons of people die along the way. It's a lot of fun, in the vein of Evil Dead 2 and Dead Alive. We follow that up with Astron-6's The Editor from 2014. We really feel this movie is a masterpiece. It's an homage and celebration of the giallo genre, and done with a very deft touch. It's totally over the top at times, while remaining very funny and still keeps you guessing with the actual "who-done-it" plot. This one NEEDS to be seen!
