Episode 206: Ephesians Series- The Armour Of God (The Belt Of Truth)

Ephesians 6:13-17; John 14:6; John 14:16 In rounding up or finalising his letter to the believers in Ephesus, apostle Paul advised the believers to guard their life-union with Christ because in doing so, will they be supernaturally infused with strength. The key to being strengthened is understanding the armour of God. I will be focusing on the belt of truth today. The belt is where Roman soldiers stored their weapon – without a belt, they could not carry a weapon! So, why does apostle Paul associate the belt of a soldier with truth? For us as Christians. God's Word is truth, and it serves as our foundation. “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14:15-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Belt - Truth is very important piece of the armour, in actual fact, without Jesus and the Holy Spirit- Christianity has no meaning. “Stand firm! Buckle the belt of truth around your waist!
