Episode 2060 - Learning to Love Problems: The OCHE Framework
from Runpreneur Hosted by Kevin Brittain
Day 2060. 15,930.92km completed. 24,144.08km remaining on a barefoot-style run of the world. This episode is about problems. Not one specific problem, but the whole reality of them. Why most of us are wired to fight their existence rather than work with them, and what happens when you stop doing that.I talk about the emotional hit that arrives when something goes wrong. For me, the initial gut-punch is the hardest part. Not the problem itself. The feeling that arrives with it before I have even started thinking about a solution.I share the OCHE framework, a four-step sequence I created and use daily. O is Opportunity, seeing the problem as a signal pointing toward growth. C is Control, narrowing focus to what is genuinely within reach. H is Have a plan, building forward motion from those controllable pieces. E is Emotion, removing feeling from the decision-making stage.I also talk about Parkinson's Law applied to problems: the longer you live and the more you do, the more problems you carry. That is not a warning. It is a confirmation something is happening. This episode is part of a daily vlog tracking my attempt to run 40,075km around the world in barefoot-style footwear while raising £1 million for children's causes including Great Ormond Street and BBC Children in Need.New episode every day. #problemsolvingmindset #streakrunning #OCHEframework #resilience #ukrunnerscommunity #runnerslifestyle #ultrarunninglife #runformentalhealth #strava #stravarun #Insta360 #vibramfivefingersWatch the full episode: https://youtu.be/naMKHmExqco
