Episode 208: Ephesians Series- The Armour Of God (Feet Shod With Readiness To Preach The Gospel…)

( Ephesians 6:15) Imagine going to work, school, dinner, outing or wherever you want to go, all beautifully dressed up but without shoes... Can you imagine it? Piece of the armour that God made available for us is “feet shod with readiness to preach the Gospel of peace. We must be ready - alert to preach the Word in and out of season. I had an opportunity to explain the Word of God to one of my learners recently when he abruptly asked me “Ms, is pornography a sin?” I had an option to be mute and continue my my teaching however, I told him it is a sin and gave more explanation with couple of scriptural verses of how watching porns could corrupts the mind and God’s child wants to keep himself pure. Our feet should be shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. I love the way NLT describes it- “For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:15‬ ‭NLT‬‬ To be fully prepared means to be ready... “and as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:15‬ ‭GNT‬‬ Easy translation “Be prepared to tell people the good news about peace with God. That will be like shoes on your feet.” ‭ Remember -“...take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:13-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
