Episode 209: Ephesians Series- The Armour Of God (The Shield Of Faith)

Still focusing on the armour of God (Ephesians 6:13-17) - the protective covering God provided for us in order for us - His children to live victoriously. I have published the following pieces of the armour the belt of truth the breastplate of righteousness feet shod with preparation of Gospel of peace Today’s focus is “ The shield of faith” “above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Shields are used to intercept specific attacks, whether from close-ranged weaponry or projectiles such as arrows, by means of active blocks, as well as to provide passive protection by closing one or more lines of engagement during combat. (Wikipedia) Shields are used to intercept (block, prevent, stop) specific attacks. As Christians, our battle is far from physical battle. Satan - the wicked one is relentlessly throwing his evil fiery arrows of doubt, depression, defeat to our soul. The good news is that God made the individual piece of the armour available for us to stand in the victory He has made available to us. Here comes the shield of faith - to intercept (block, prevent, stop) the attacks and fiery arrows of doubt, depression or defeat the Enemy throws our way. So, for instance, you are looking forward to a specific victory or breakthrough. You are so excitedly expectant and before you know it, darts of doubt come flying through your mind. Get your shield of faith ready! Intercept the enemy’s arrow! Destroy it with absolute faith in God’s Word. Your thoughts matter! The dart of the Enemy can only be destroyed by knowing your identity in Christ (breastplate of righteousness) and truly believe the Word of God you declare! Remember what the Word says in Ephesians 3:20 about God answering our requests as well as our thoughts I published a podcast on this- “God Super Answers Our Requests And Thoughts” Declare what the Word of God says about the specific situation so you can intercept, subdue, destroy, snuff out, overcome the specific dart , attack, arrow of the Enemy.
