Episode 209: Weeb U

We start off the show by pouring ourselves a little bit of the bubbly as we settle a score concerning some Smashers, welcome the return of Kyle Katarn, and discover what abandoned Wii U games are coming to Switch. For the episode’s second half, we cover the past few difficult weeks in games — content warning for topics of sexual assault, abuse, and suicide — as we discuss Nathalie Lawhead’s blog post outing their abuser, kicking off a series of allegations against others across the games industry. If you need someone to talk to about an experience with sexual assault or abuse, you can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673) or visit online.rainn.org. If you or someone you know is considering suicide, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, text START to the Crisis Text Line at 741741, or go to the International Association for Suicide Prevention to find a list of hotlines by country.
