Episode 21 – Being on Both Sides of the Story When an Aging Parent Falls Through the Healthcare System with award-winning veteran health journalist Elizabeth Payne

from Caring for Changes · host Home Healthcare Network

It’s a nightmare shared by many: A sudden, non life-threatening event lands an elder loved-one in the emergency department  where overcrowding, limited resources and staffing shortages combine to not only hamper their recovery, but eventually lead to their physical and mental decline. A story that became a signature piece of Canadian Health Journalism thanks to former Ottawa Citizen Senior Reporter Elizabeth Payne.
