Episode 21: How My Past Traumas Led Me to Live a More Fulfilling Life - Interview with Olivia Bolt

from Dream to Rise · host Cynthia Encinas-Concordia

Can trauma lead to a successful life?   Major life transitions include a wide range of events. A life transition is a large move, going back to school, a breakup, grief, or having a child, and many more. These transitions often lead to past traumas rearing their ugly heads. Women are frequently faced with the struggle of going through a life change. They are expected to balance this while recognizing after-effects of previous abusive experiences. After-effects that are both physiologically and physically effective. Even trauma from childhood can continue to cause stress and mental health challenges later in life. Recognizing these connections can often help reduce the fear that comes along with previous trauma transitions. Trauma has many negative effects, yet some people find meaning.  Listen to Olivia Bolt's story on how she changed her way of thinking when she learned how to love herself despite the bullying and the negative treatment shown to her by other people.  This boosted her self-confidence, increased her self-worth, had more meaningful relationships, started her own business and now impacting other people.
