Episode 21: Jake Martinez - Directing The Keystone Backyard Ultra

Jake Martinez is probably unlike any Ultra Running Race Director that you have ever met. At 20 years old, and still running collegiately, Jake has never even competed in an ultra of his own. But he is no stranger to the sport and is overflowing with passion for growing the ultra community. We sat down with Jake as he prepares to host The Keystone Backyard Ultra on May 22nd and we had a chance to hear first hand why Jake believes the Backyard is the purest form of ultra running.
