With chronic shortage of affordable homes, U.S home prices have climbed at a record pace during the pandemic: a shrinking housing inventory and a dramatically risen rental cost in Florida and all over the nation have left working families desperate and scrambling to find affordable housing. In the midst of all of this, millions of Americans are at risk of being evicted from their homes, and Tampa has some of the highest rents in the entire country.
