Episode 210: Ephesians Series- The Armour of God (Helmet of Salvation)

Ephesians 6:17; Philippians‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭ We are instructed in Ephesians 6:17 to put on the whole armour of God and to “take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” A helmet is important for the protection of the brain, which is like a powerhouse of the whole body. The brain controls our thoughts, our memory and speech. It also controls the movement in f our arms and legs. So if the head is affected, it will affect the whole body. Without the head strapped properly with the helmet, when there is an attack, the head will be severely damaged. An headless man is a lifeless being. In essence, as Christians- Christ-believers- we must work out our salvation with reverence, cultivating it, bringing it to full effect and actively pursuing spiritual maturity so that God’s name can be glorified through our living standing up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
