Episode 214 - What's Grim Below

We make this podcast in a cave, so it should come as no surprise that our movies this time involve journeys deep under the surface of the earth. We start off with "Grim" from 1996, a tiny little movie from director Paul Matthews with an impressive monster suit and a story that almost instantly fell out of our brains after watching it. It is set in a small town with an elaborate set of caves running beneath it which are inhabited by a demon that is wreaking havoc across town. We follow that up with a real gem, 1984's "What Waits Below" from director Don Sharp and starring the wonderful Robert Powell. This is great pulpy adventure about a cave-expert that is tasked to help the army install a top secret device in a cavern that just might be inhabited by mysterious creatures! It was a real surprise and we all loved it!
