Episode 215 - Beth Walker, Joinery Journal

from Crafting a Revolution · host Katie Freeman

Beth is an artist, a teacher, and a bench jointer. While in art school, she actually started her informal education in the construction and carpentry trade as well. She used these informal skills to do a complete van renovation that she then travelled and lived in for a year. During her travels, she worked in make shift maker spaces, helping to build things for refugees and others in need. Though she graduated with an art degree, and spent some years as an art teacher, I would say her passion is in constructing spaces. You can follow along with her on Instagram.
