Episode 215 - Black and Gold Left Seeing Red After 2-1 Loss to Dallas

Send us a textLAFC heads to Texas for the final time in 2022, and all we can say here on Episode 215 is good riddance! Ryan Hollingshead sees red during the match while LAFC and their supporters are left seeing red after. LAFC loses a tough one the hard way, 2-1, behind a brace from Jesus Ferreira and an awful day for Jon Freemon. Just eight minutes in, LAFC would already be dealt a body blow, as Chiqui was shown a very questionable yellow, meaning he will miss our next match, a tilt in just three days against Minnesota. Compounding LAFC's issues, just 5 minutes later Ryan Hollingshead would be booked a straight red after VAR allowed Jon Freemon, head referee, to amend his previous bad call of a yellow to an even worse one. LAFC would play down a man for the remainder of the match. Right before the halftime whistle, Maxime Crepeau would make a Save of the Week candidate on Edwin Cerrillo, and just seconds before the whistle, Giorgio Chiellini would find Chicho over the top, and Arango chips the keeper to improbably put LAFC up 1-0 heading into the locker room. LAFC dodged a bullet early in the second half and looked to hold on, which they did for 77 full minutes. In the 78', after a lack of focus on a quick restart, Paul Arriola finds Jesus Ferreira to equalize. Just three minutes later, Ferreira would bury a free kick, and just like that, all of LAFC's incredible defensive efforts down a man went for naught. Ugh. Another frustrating LAFC loss, and this one may have topped them all. Also on this episode, we are just plain upset. Filly gets bleeped, Scarf gets a stadium PA job, and the boys chat about diapers, but not in a gross way.
