It invented meta storytelling, Ghostface became an iconic character, and it delivered a number of memorable moments. In the quarter century since, there have been five sequels with very little change to the formula that made it initially successful. So far, it has worked with each installment delivering a good time. Scream VI continues some of the trademarks of the franchise. Were they able to pull it off or is it starting to get stale? How well would the movie get along without Neve Campbell? Would they be able to pull off another great opening?Taking a horror favorite out of a small setting and taking it to Manhattan has not fared so well in the past. How did Ghostface react to being in a much bigger city? Did the plot do a good job of incorporating the Big Apple or did it get to cute for its own good?
