Episode 216: Ephesians Series- Choose Your Friends Wisely

(Ephesians 6:20b-22; Prov 17:17) Still on apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians Believers, whilst he was still in prison, in chapter 6:20b-22. He mentioned a dear dear friend and beloved brother called Tychicus, which he sent to the believers in Ephesus. He counted him to be a trustworthy minister in our Lord Jesus, who knows the burdens and concerns Apostle Paul had for the believers’ welfare. He also sent him to encourage those believers as well. God made us for relationship, for companionship. He created us to love and to be loved and thus it is vital to choose our friends right and also be a good friend. When we choose our friends right, within the boundaries of God’s Word, our friends will be a channel of encouragement, joy, love and healing to us, as we will do the same. Just like what the Bible says in Provs 17:17 “A friend loves at all times and a brother is always there to help at the bad times.” Let us pray Father we thank you for creating us for companionship. Thank you for the community of friends we have to do life with. We thank You for that person or community of friends you send our individual way to bless us, love up on us, and encourage us. For anyone in a wrong relationship, I pray that You shed the light of Your Word into their mind so that they will tap in Your wisdom to let go and choose rightly. Help us also to always be a friend that loves at all times and to always be there for our friends at all times. Thank You for Your grace is available for us. In Jesus’ name, amen
