Episode 22 - Google Endangers Democracy, Censors Political Candidates

from Stand and Deliver · host CFFS

On the latest episode of Stand and Deliver, Patrick and Bob set their sights on Google, which has set their sights on conservative politicians, campaigns and causes. As discussed on a previous episode, Google had been using their G-Mail platform to impact the flow of information from political candidates and groups to potential donors. Specifically, Google was censoring donation emails by sending them to the spam boxes of the recipients. Now, GOP leaders have crunched the numbers and determined that as much as $2 billion in donations were lost because Google refused to complete delivery of those emails.   The guys then talk about the enormous victory for religious liberty delivered by the Supreme Court, ruling that a Washington state high school football coach was wrongly fired for praying quietly on the field following his team's games. The decision has massive implications on the free exercise of religion, which is of course the first clause in the First Amendment!
