Episode 22 - Gutter Gang Gets Desperate with MS Harkness

Gutter Nation, we are back for another banger for your kind, precious ears! On this episode, we're joined by long time friend and one of the hardest working people we know in comics today, MS Harkness. She's the creator of Tinderella and and her new book, Desperate Pleasures (which would be out relatively soon if not for our current pandemic). We take listener questions and go over the latest news impacting creators and readers alike as we continue to self-isolate like responsible adults. In the second half, we talk shop about her process, her opinions about auto bio as a subgenre in comics, her development of her career as a comic creator, and what artists can do if they want to become a successful cartoonist in the modern world. MS Harkness can be found on Twitter @msharkness and Instagram @m.s.harkness. If you can, please support her and her work at https://www.patreon.com/msharkness to get further insight into her process and be able to get exclusive sneak peaks at her new projects. Questions? Comments? Suggestions? Email us at [email protected] and we'll read it on the next episode.
