Nancy can fluently speak English and French, she works as a financial analyst, but she’s very ardent and passionate about reading books.Apart from reading books, Nancy also enjoys dancing, watching movies and cooking.Nancy’s current projectInspired by her niece in the U.S who enjoyed listening to her stories from Africa, Nancy dived into compiling different collections of short stories and different literature from Africa as a way of storing and sharing this information with individuals such as her niece.Nancy was also inspired by her Entrepreneurship course at Riason School through which the idea to publish books was fully realised.Nancy’s research and compilation project, mainly focuses on the socio-cultural aspects of the African society. Some of the main themes you’ll find from her books include; romance, marriage, fantasy and the contemporary African community.Through the books, Nancy is trying to revive the euphoric experience that comes with knowing your African roots and the norms associated with the historic and contemporary African society.Nancy adores and cherishes the proverbs, knowledge and lessons she has gained through listening to the stories as narrated by her grandmother and close kin.Nancy view on Technology’s effect on today’s societyDespite technology having numerous negative impacts on the current generation, Nancy believes that a lot of individuals have positively leveraged the power of tools such as filming, writing, and social media as a platform to voice their art and ideas.The pros she says, are way more than the cons.With this in mind, Nancy plans to build a common platform where interested parties can visit and gain access to the thousands of literature masterpieces that have been generated over time by different African scholars and authors.Nancy’s goals.Through her different writing and compilation projects, Nancy hopes to create a culture where the current generation can appreciate the historic and traditional values of the African community.
