Welcome to Daily Growth Point, I’m Pastor John Bingham.Every family has disagreements, then throw in the mix different personalities, perspectives and growing pressures, and tension can escalate.When conflict arises, we often want to “be heard” or to “get our point across.” But the key is not about winning an argument. You can win the argument but lose the heart of a child. Rather, the goal in conflict is to develop unity through understanding the other person. This requires a willingness to listen with patience. The Bible says in James 1:19, “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.”Many problems could be avoided if we simply listened first. Then, the key is to respond with grace.
