One of the most common questions I get during my podcast class is this: Should I order a mic to start my podcast? My answer is always this… Will not having a mic prevent you from starting your podcast? If your answer is “yes”, then my answer is “no”. Just get it started. To prove that point, I went onto OfferUp and looked for a USB microphone. There happened to be one for sale for $5, and it happened to say, “Disney” on it. Perfect! So I recorded this episode of my podcast on a Disney mic that I bought for $5. Don’t overcomplicate things… Just get started.
