Episode 225 - Ill Al

This past spring we received a follow from The Beatcast which serves as a weekly sample challenge and tight knit community of awesome producers and creatives from around the globe. We had the chance to participate in several sample challenges towards the end of their 4th season and really enjoyed the experience. So in turn we reached out to The Beatcast’s founder Ill Al to be on the podcast and have a deeper dive into the platform and his own background in music as well! He told us about his beginnings as an MC in the Phoenix, Arizona music scene and how his love for both Rock and Hip-Hop started his path towards music production in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Having those experiences led Al towards merging the two worlds in his own unique way years later around the time of the pandemic when The Beatcast came into existence. He gave shoutouts to the other members of the platform and also provided his vision for where he sees it heading in the future with more events to help expand its potential and provide opportunities to more people. We’re grateful to have come across what Al and the rest of the team over there are doing and are thrilled to keep participating in the upcoming seasons of the sample challenge!
