Episode 226 - The Nice Guys

from In The Queue - Film Conversations with Andrew and Phil · host Andrew and Phil

An unlikely pair of heroes weave in and around the mob in Los Angeles, 1977.  Healy (Russell Crowe) and March (Ryan Gosling) meet cute in a bone-fracturing altercation, but end up working together to find a missing girl and solve the apparent suicide of a prominent porn star.  Buddy cop scribe Shane Black writes and directs this time, and the result is one of the most hotly anticipated films of the summer.  Andrew thinks 'The Nice Guys' is a mostly unqualified success, but Phil expresses disappointment that the film fails to live up to the trailers.  Listen to these two nice guys talk about film for a spell.
