Episode 228: Matthew 13 Part 1 You CAN Understand the Bible!

Matthew shifts his focus from the religious leaders and Pharisees to some of Jesus’ teachings. He tells us that Jesus used stories called parables. He used things that his listeners would be familiar with such as seed, soil, coins, etc. to teach them a spiritual lesson. Many people today do not read the bible for themselves because they feel as though it is too hard to understand but Jesus said if we would listen to his teachings, God would give understanding. If you’re not reading and studying the word of God for yourself, you are having to take what someone else says and that can be very dangerous! How do you know if you are being deceived or not if you don’t know what the bible says?!?!? Get in the book and start reading!
