Episode 23-0120: A Disney first comes to the McKay stage and an astronomical story opens soon at Albany Civic Theater

On this edition of Theater Talk, Ann and Ed interview theatre arts director Tiffany Carstensen and actors from the Oregon premiere of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical, opening Jan. 20 at McKay High School. Then later in our program, director Rus Roberts and actor Gina Eslinger of Albany Civic Theater’s production Silent Sky join Ann and Ed to discuss this true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt. Silent Sky explores a woman’s place in society in a time of great scientific discovery, when women’s ideas were dismissed until men claimed credit for them.
