Dr. John Kuehn joins Drs. Jonathan Abel and Angela Riotto to discuss the 1910s and 1920s US Navy.  He begins by explaining the nature of the Navy and its place in the government during the period.  He elaborates on its mission during the Great War.  He then details the various missions it undertook after the war, as the US gained international commitments that the diplomat-commanders of the Navy were well-suited for.
