Episode 230: Episode 230 - Eyes Wide Shut (1:30:02)

We dive into a review of Stanley Kubrick's final film, "Eyes Wide Shut" with our friend Mike C. Eyes Wide Shut is a 1999 erotic mystery psychological drama film directed, produced and co-written by Stanley Kubrick. Based on the 1926 novella Traumnovelle (Dream Story) by Arthur Schnitzler, the movie transfers the story from early 20th-century Vienna to 1990s New York City. Kubrick was a master film-maker who made every scene full of meaning and symbolism, every shot a portrait or a painting and often leaves the viewer to interpret the “art” in a very subjective way. This was his last film and he died a few days after sharing the cut with the studio. We will have much to discuss on this one.
