Episode 231: "Why Solving Problems TOGETHER Is So Important"

from Learn For 2 Podcast · host Brandon DeVere

Today I spoke with a home inspector about his findings on a listing I just sold. I asked him how he did a couple things and he was instantly on the defensive. Keep in mind I wasn't questioning his quality of work, I was just looking for more information so that I could come to a more clear conclusion and do so quickly. I will give him the benefit of the doubt because I did introduce myself as the "Other" agent on a house that he just inspected. No one ever makes that call to say, "hey, how'ya doin", so I can understand why he wouldn't be so eager to talk. But the point remains that the intent of the phone call was to get more information, not to call him out on his findings. He said that his "tools" picked up a leak, but logistics and lack of water seemed to contradict those findings. As of this time, there is no leak that we can find, the plumber will be going out to check, so I will keep you updated.
