Episode 233 - SoundTec

Following our connection through fellow collaborator Dre A.M. we had the chance to welcome Orlando based artist and DJ SoundTec to the show! We opened the discussion as he gave some background on his start in DJing having shared a passion for it with some of his friends in the local Orlando scene. He described what it’s like to collect vinyl records from many different genres and taste makers all of which has helped expand his musical palette. In turn this also translates to his live performances being able to move the crowd and channel the correct emotion for each new situation. He also touched on the similarities and differences between performing others music as a DJ and performing his own work as an MC. Having also released his single “Master of Illusion” the day of the recording he gave the story behind the track and how fans will be able to pick up the 12’ vinyl to take home which we thought was very cool.
