Episode 239: Raise Your Standard

(Isaiah 59) “Someone says your quality of life is a reflection of your standard. If you want to change your life; raise your standard.” Anytime I reflect on the phrase - “raise your standard” what comes to mind is Isaiah 59. In the midst of sin - unrighteousness, injustice, darkness, inequality, trials adversity- verse 19 of Isaiah chapter 59 is a declaration that the spirit of God will lift up a standard against the Enemy. Vs 20 and 21 gives more light to the standard the spirit of the Lord shall lift up. “… and the redeemer shall come to Zion and onto them that turned from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord. Verse 21 says “as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in my mouth shall not depart out of thy mouth not out of the mouth of thy seed nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seeds, saith the Lord from henceforth and forever. Jesus has come to redeem us from sin- from unrighteousness, darkness, injustice, inequality. Let’s keep raising the standard of Jesus Let’s keep raising the standard of the cross to the unsaved Let’s keep raising the standard of God’s light to those in darkness Let’s keep raising the standard of justice for those facing injustice Let’s keep raising the standard of love to the voice - becoming for them. God Himself will keep renewing our strength Remember- raise your standard by raising the standard of the Cross.
