Episode #24: Pay attention.
from Wisdom Comes With Wrinkles Hosted by Deborah Brown-Volkman
The more aware you are, the more engaged you are. If you are going through the motions in your job, you will miss out on career fulfillment. Opportunities for expansion and growth come from being aware. Problem-solving, creativity, and making an impact is the result. Companies need to pay attention to where they are headed as well. Business continuity and disaster recovery planning are key. There are risks to watch out for and opportunities to capitalize on. Jeffry Queen is a retired law enforcement officer with nearly thirty years of law enforcement, security, investigative, and logistical management experience. Today, he focuses on situational awareness and crisis management. Human trafficking is also an important area of focus for Jeffry. He is a board member for “Voices Against Trafficking” a human traffic advocacy organization with a goal of 1 million voices by the end of 2023. The majority of human trafficking happens from someone who is close to you; a person you trust. Betrayal occurs when your guard goes down and your vulnerability goes up.
