Identity is fundamental to the human race. We seek identity in many things in life. Yet God wants His Church embracing the core corporate identity He has given us. Grasping our core identity answers the question, "who are we?" Knowing our core identity as the body of Christ enables us to discern what specific way each individual believer will then contribute to its outworking in the world.
