Episode 241: Warrior

We don't know why we weren't watching "Warrior," the historical martial arts epic on HBO Max, but we are both very happy we did. We'll get into all the reasons why on this week's episode. Also! An appreciation of the work of Gregory Jacobs, aka Shock G of Bay Area rap collective Digital Underground, and the impact his music had on a young J. Ferguson. We also run down everything we've been checking out this week including My Octopus Teacher, Mare of Easttown, a return to Thunderbolt Fantasy and more. If you'd like to support the show financially, you can buy us a coffee at ko-fi.com/geekdownpod, but we'd really prefer you instead donate to organizations like the Asian Canadian Benevolent Society for the Elderly (acbaglobal.org/) the Chinatown Foundation (www.chinatownfoundation.org/), or any local org working to end Asian hate in your community.
