Episode 242 - The Power of Family Worship

In many early American homes, families regularly gathered to pray and read the Bible together. Parents understood that spiritual growth required intentional investment.This did not originate in our Founders, but with God. He told the Israelites in Deuteronomy 6 to teach the truth of God to our children. Even busy parents can invest in their children. Although she had 19 children, the mother of John and Charles Wesley, invested daily in each of her children individually. History bore the result of her diligence when her boys would impact two continents with the Gospel.Strong nations are built upon strong homes, and strong homes are built upon spiritual foundations.Perhaps one of the greatest things we could restore in America today would be simple family worship around God’s Word.
