This week on the Live to Walk Again Podcast we had the pleasure of visiting with Gina Schuh who is a Spinal Cord Injury Survivor, Disability Advocate, and Juris Doctor among many other things. We talked about how she suffered a spinal cord injury by diving into a pool and only 18 years old, the multiple surgeries she had to go to after to stabilize her spine, and finding an amazing outpatient rehab facility in Arizona. We also discussed the issues with finding caregivers, how "the system" tries to keep disabled people poor, and some of the amazing things she's doing to advocate for the disability community.
