Episode 243 - The Girl on the Train
from In The Queue - Film Conversations with Andrew and Phil · host Andrew and Phil
Some men just have a one-track mind. Emily Blunt and all the other actors conduct themselves well in this new thriller. Director Tate Taylor engineered the story with Erin Cressida Wilson, who adapted from the novel. The film is fairly lacking in tension until it runs on rails at the climactic twist. Haley Bennet's performance could be her ticket to the A-list. Andrew and Phil lose their train of thought a few times during this episode. Perhaps they were thinking too much about Edgar Ramirez's caboose. But if watching 'The Girl on the Train' again were Phil's punishment for wrongdoing, he would want to commute the sentence.
